About JR Global Consulting
Joseph Rizzo's Experience Builds Value

I founded JR Global Consulting to help businesses achieve measurable success by leveraging my nearly two decades of experience, primarily in healthcare and retail. I bring a diverse skill set, including expertise in sales, training, marketing, market access, and leadership development, gained from working with both large corporations and startups.

My career began as a project manager in the oil & gas industry, where I developed my sales and supply chain skills. Realizing quickly healthcare was an industry I wanted to pursue, I secured my first full time role selling pharmaceutical products. During this time, I co-founded an action sports apparel company as my first entrepreneurial venture. Eventually, I shifted to medical device sales, further honing my focus on the healthcare sector while continuing to contribute and grow the apparel company.

In order advance my career, I made the hard decision to sell my stake in the apparel company and moved to New Jersey, where I led a sales training initiative at a biotech company. I earned my Executive MBA from Rutgers University, specializing in Economics, Finance, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship, which paved the way for my first marketing role then later a product marketing manager position in MedTech startup company.

Later, I secured a new role to gain critical experience in market access strategy for life-changing products. Here, I also earned an Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program Certificate from the Wharton Business School to further my education and increase my skillsets. This led me to my most recent position at a global health tech company leading commercial strategy for digital enablement solutions for MedTech marketing clients.
